Primary filters are used for primary filtration in air conditioning systems, mainly for filtering dust particles larger than 5 μm.There are three types of primary filters: plate type, folded type and pocket type. The frame materials include paper frame, aluminum frame and galvanized steel frame. The filter media include non-woven fabric, nylon mesh, activated carbon filter media, perforated metal mesh, etc.The protective screens are double-sided plastic-coated iron wire mesh and double-sided galvanized iron wire mesh.
Features
- Low cost
- Light weight
- Good versatility
- Compact structure
Main Applications
- Pre-filtration for central air conditioning and centralized ventilation systems.
- Pre-filtration for large air compressors.
- Clean return air systems.
- Pre-filtration for local high-efficiency filtration units.
Filters of this efficiency are commonly used for primary filtration in air conditioning and ventilation systems, and also suitable for simple air conditioning and ventilation systems that only require one-stage filtration. The G-series coarse-efficiency air filters include 8 types:
- G1
- G2
- G3
- G4
- GN (Nylon Mesh Filter)
- GH (Metal Filter)
- GC (Activated Carbon Filter)
- GT (High Temperature Resistant Coarse-Efficiency Filter)
Maintenance
- Replace regularly (generally every 1–6 months for primary filters) according to the environmental cleanliness.
- Regularly check the cleanliness of the purified area with a dust particle counter (generally every two months). If the measured cleanliness does not meet the required standard, find out the cause (leakage, failure of HEPA filter, etc.).If the HEPA filter is invalid, replace it with a new one.
- Shut down the equipment before replacing the primary filter.
